Hyundai Motor India Ltd., India's second largest car manufacture by sales volumes, announced a service campaign to recall 7657 of the Eon hatchback. The service recall was announced to inspect the clutch cable fouling with the battery cable. This is a voluntary recall by the company for the Eon models which have been produced in the month of January 2015.
The service and inspection will come at no cost to the consumers, who will be notified in a phased manner. The recall will entail a replacement of the battery cable if found to be damaged. A press release from Hyundai further stated, " As a responsible manufacturer, Hyundai Motor India continues to ensure the quality of products offering to its customers and encourage owners of all affected Eon cars to take them to authorised Hyundai dealers. Hyundai Motor India will deliver best service and attention to its customers with its strong service and support network across the country."
